SCA – Annual Meeting a Success – Thank You! 

November 7, 2018 


Thanks to all who attended our successful Annual General Meeting on November 1st.  We also thank TDSB School Trustee, Alexander Brown for arranging the facility and to Avondale School for hosting.

Highlights of the meeting included:.

A brief update about the future of Newtonbrook Plaza.  M2M sales centre has been invited to speak with us on November 20 (see separate post) about the big development soon to start.

 

> Some discussion about the intensification that is planned along Yonge Street in our area.
> Recognizing Morley Patterson for his contributions to the SCA and our neighbourhood dating back to the 1970s
> The Board bid Morley Patterson and Dan Kim farewell (for now) and welcomes Tony Moscrop.
> Announcing our Newly Designed Web Site
> Confirmation the SCA is an important organization and should carry on.

 

It was also good that Councillor-Elect, John Filion’s Executive Assistant, Markus O’Brien Fehr was in attendance to meet Members, learn about the SCA and to say a few words.
