Silverview Park Improvements

February 10, 2020

The City seem enthusiastic to move ahead with upgrades and changes and particularly because of all the new residencies being built on Yonge St. The plan of action is that the City shall conduct a study of the park as it is, submit a preliminary report and then meet with the community to discuss and amend, before finalization. They are aware that the playground is bereft of decent equipment and that we would like a permanent seating area close by. The study will examine the positioning of existing facilities and may suggest some relocation. In addition further activities may be recommended to fully utilize the area. While there are no time-lines as of yet, Councillor Filion indicated he would like to see the work executed before the end of his term(2022).
