New Park Coming near Us Soon
24 November 2021
The new 6000m2 park will be part of the Newtonbrook Plaza Redevelopment at 5799-5915 Yonge Street, and will be about a 6 minute walk from Avondale Secondary (with direct access into the park off of Mullet Road) and about 5 minutes from the Finch TTC station. The new park will also serve as an access point to the new Newtonbrook Community Recreation Centre. I have attached a map where you can see the new park site. The project team has launched an online survey to collect feedback on the concept design that has been created for this new park and presented at November 4th Virtual Community Meeting held earlier on November 4th. The survey closes on Sunday, November 28th, 2021. Over 350 responses have already been received, and still seeking additional community voices for their input. Members can visit the project webpage at toronto.ca/OlympicGardenPark to: o Review the meeting presentation from the November 4th virtual meeting and learn more about the project.
