Vulnerable elderly residents of Willowdale Manor and Cummer Lodge must have a voice.

IMPORTANT MEETING TOMORROW MONDAY APRIL 24 3-5PM Willowdale Manor Seniors Care residence 175 Cummer Ave.

YOU ARE INVITED — Families and friends of the over 1,000 vulnerable elderly residents of Willowdale Manor and Cummer Lodge must have a voice. These side by side City of Toronto run long term care and supportive seniors housing facilities at Willowdale and Cummer Avenues have been completely neglected by City politicians and officials who nearly 2 years ago announced they had made secret plans to destroy and redevelop the beautiful treed front lawn of Willowdale Manor. This secretly planned “emergency” redevelopment is NOT dedicated to serve seniors but to house a separate group of 59 chronically homeless, addicted and mentally ill men.

Protecting the needs and safety and rights of the over 1,000 seniors living on this block and in the care of the City of Toronto should be the #1 priority. BUT Until now, the City has not even admitted that this project sits on the front lawn of their very own seniors facilities! They would not even admit that!   Thanks to the effort behind the scenes of  New Willowdale Councillor Lilly Cheng , the City and TSHC  Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation are being forced to face the facts.

SO PLEASE ATTEND TOMORROW AND DEFEND THE RIGHTS AND SAFETY OF 1,000 SENIORS LIVING AT WILLOWDALE AND CUMMER — TO LIVE IN PEACE, SAFELY ENJOY THEIR FRONT LAWN AND TREED OUTDOOR SPACE AND KEEP WILLOWDALE AND CUMMER FOR THE SENIORS.
