Silverview Park – Improvements Are Coming

The City is undertaking a study to help determine improvements at Silverview Park. The design for the park improvements will be determined through the community engagement process starting in this summer (2023).

Here is a rough outline of the engagement plan, which is subject to change:

-Phase 1 – Vision (Vision Statement): Park potluck
-Phase 2 – Options (Design Principles): Design charrette with landscape consultant, and three design options to present to the public
-Phase 3 – Direction (Moves to Implement): Open house and online public survey

Councillor Cheng’s Office is currently in the process of organizing a community potluck event along with Phase 1 of the community engagement. Here are the event details:

- Aiming to invite city staff from Parks to discuss the project.
- Tentative date: Saturday, September 16th, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
- Location: Silverview Park.
- Flyer drop two weeks in advance of the event.
- The Councillor’s office will take care of providing two tables, beverages, plates, and napkins.
